In 1995, our team at Compac Furniture identified a need in the market for high quality, stylish and contemporary furniture that didn’t come with a designer price tag. Based in Northland, our business was launched and grown by brothers Mervyn and Ken Simpkin and is now in its third generation. Operating with the same spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship, we currently employ 70 staff, utilise 6,000m² of factory floor space and supply to a myriad of industries. Our parent company Mako Enterprises Ltd - by collaborating and sharing their design capabilities, systems, plant and administration - has enabled us to develop a reputation as one of New Zealand’s leading bedroom and lifestyle furniture manufacturers.
